Residents looking for fresh produce and flowers will now have two additional sites to shop at Aurora’s Farmers Market starting next week.
Both markets will offer farm fresh produce, fresh bread, baked goods, flowers and more on Wednesdays from July 11 to Sept. 12. Farmers Market East will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Spring Lake Park, 3500 McCoy Drive, and Farmers Market West will be open from 2 to 6 p.m. at West Plaza Shopping Center, 1901 W. Galena Blvd.
The City’s downtown Farmers Market continues serving customers from 7:30 a.m. to noon Saturdays through Oct. 22 at Wilder Promenade, 350 N. River St. The market, which is celebrating its 100th year, features an expanded lineup of farmers and vendors, weekly entertainment and periodic food demonstrations.
The seasonal selection available at the July 7 market offers patrons a wide variety of choices including lettuce, peas, beets, green beans, kale, potatoes, raspberries, blueberries, fresh roasted coffee beans, homemade jams, breads, baked goods and more.
Ron Newman will be providing the entertainment playing the golden oldies on the organ, and the Friends of Phillips Park will be giving away free tulip bulbs at this week’s downtown market
